EVENTS | Dialoghi creativi
contemporary art meets design at Giorgetti Spiga - The Place
From 19 to 24 May, Giorgetti strengthens its connection with creativity by hosting “Dialoghi Creativi”, an exhibition curated by Oblong Contemporary Gallery within the spaces of Giorgetti Spiga - The Place.
More than just an exhibition, “Dialoghi Creativi” is an immersive experience in which design and contemporary art meet and merge, creating a visual and materic story involving every domestic environment. Sculptures, installations and artworks dialogue with the furniture, transforming the Milanese home into a dynamic stage of aesthetic and cultural suggestions.
The protagonists of the exhibition are the artists Umberto Ciceri, Sauro Cavallini, Gustavo Vélez, Stefano Bombardieri, Gianfranco Meggiato, Cveto Marsič, Omar Ludo and Giuseppe Majorana.
Their artworks brighten up the four floors of the space in a fluid journey through marble, bronze, steel and colour, in a continuous exchange between form and meaning.
Oblong Contemporary Gallery, based in Forte dei Marmi and Dubai, distinguishes itself as an international hub between well-known and new promising artists.
The name ‘Oblong’ recalls an open and welcoming form as a symbol of the gallery's mission: to embrace and combine Italian culture and Emirati identity, promoting a creative exchange that enriches both worlds. Oblong proposes itself as a hub of cultural growth and a reference point for a new idea of gallery, inclusive, dynamic and global.
With this exhibition, Giorgetti confirms its vocation to build scenarios in which design opens up to dialogue with the arts, transforming the space into a cultural platform able to inspire and narrate new stories.
From May 19th to 24th, from 10am to 7pm, at Giorgetti Spiga - The Place, Via Della Spiga 31, Milan.
