Giorgetti for “Ipertesto” by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba - Giorgetti 1
Tommaso Calabro Gallery in Milan hosts the “Ipertesto” exhibition

From December 6th to December 21st, the architects Ludovica and Roberto Palomba celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the studio with “Ipertesto” exhibition.
The gallery is composed by unique pieces of furniture, designed in collaboration with leading Italian and international design companies, and selfproduced objects. A quote of the pieces sale will be donated to the charity association Pane Quotidiano.
Giorgetti takes part with a chair and a small armchair which are realized in ash wood and characterized by unique finishes. The structure of the chair is carbonized, and the result of the process is an alternation of dark nuances that enhance the wood grain. On the other hand, the armchair structure is bleached in order to obtain the lightest shade possible, without ruining the wood fiber.
A “hypertext”, in computer science, is a non-linear group of documents containing information of diverse nature (texts, images, music pieces, videos), interconnected by logic references and links, which allow the user to build an autonomous reading path.
Over the last 25 years, Ludovica and Roberto Palomba have transferred the concept of hypertext from computer science to design. Each creation is the result of a consistent research, starting from interactions of thoughts, inspirations and intuitions. The architects give back to the project the pleasure of exploration.
